Welcome — I’m Gary Scotto, your instructor and President of the Electrician’s Learning Center.

You’re about to take the first major step in your career as an electrician. In this trade, knowledge truly is power — and the right knowledge can be high-voltage. Our mission is to ensure you begin your journey far ahead of your future coworkers. By the end of this course, you will have the skill level and confidence of a first-year apprentice.

Imagine sitting in a job interview and confidently saying, “I can wire a single-pole, two-pole, three-way, and four-way switch,” while being able to clearly explain the process, draw it out, and demonstrate real understanding. That level of competence doesn’t just make an impression — it gets you hired.

I tell every student the same thing: when I pay to learn something, I don’t leave the room until I fully understand it — and I expect you to hold yourself to that same standard. You can do this. At times you may feel overwhelmed, and yes, that is intentional. It’s part of the learning process, and you will come out stronger, more capable, and more confident on the other side.

I have been in the electrical trade for more than 45 years, and I still love what I do. Like any career, it has its challenges, but it has provided a great life for me and my family. This trade rewards hard work and dedication — you will get out of it exactly what you put into it.
